The lake view from the windows was amazing, and the place itself was beautiful once we got inside. We arrived late because our flight was delayed, so it was hard to spot in the dark. The apartment was clean, with high ceilings, air conditioning, and a nice kitchen and living area. There’s a popular local hangout right next door, busy with people around midnight, but we couldn’t hear the noise in our room.

I enjoyed the setting: an old building on a nice central square, with bars and good restaurants nearby. The lake view was lovely, and the waterfront path starts right there, so I had some nice walks. The downsides were hard to overlook for the price. The interior and facilities felt quite old and poor, there were lots of stairs, and the ceiling on the top floor was very, very low. Parking wasn’t available within 700 metres on weekends, even in low season. The listing ticks the parking box, then says in a subsection that it’s public, which felt misleading to me. We wouldn’t have chosen this place if we’d realized. There were extra fees tucked away in a subsection too, and we had to take out the rubbish even though the bin was 600 metres away. The manager wasn’t friendly. HappyRental, the company managing the apartment, didn’t seem to handle things fairly. Check-in was unpleasant: we had to fill out lots of information while on the road. Why not send it beforehand? It’s far too overrated. This is the first time I’ve rated a place below 4. Find somewhere else.

The sunrise and the lake were wonderful, and the aparthotel felt really cosy. We stayed there with friends for five nights. Thanks so much for having us.
