I stayed for over a week and would happily come back. The staff were brilliant and friendly, and my room had a lovely view of the lake. The room and bathroom could use a little care, but that’s me being picky. Everything else was excellent, and the location was spot on.

Be careful when booking through a Booking agent. I paid for two nights in a superior room with a lake view, but the hotel gave me an older standard room facing inward instead. They wouldn’t accept responsibility for it.

The location was great and the staff were nice, but our room was among the worst I’ve stayed in. It was old and in very poor shape, and the carpet smelled strongly of mold. The worst part was the restaurant opposite our window. At 4 a.m., bottles were being thrown loudly for an hour. It turned the night into a nightmare and ruined a full day of our vacation.

Waking up to the lake view from our double room was beautiful, and the location was excellent. The bathroom really needs work, though. Boards covered what looked like a possible hole in the door and in the shower, and there was plenty of mold in the shower too.

We got good value for the money, and our room even had a lake veiw. The hotel is clean, with friendly, helpful staff, and it’s less than 10 minutes from both the train station and the old town. Breakfast is continental, with meat, cheese, bread and rolls, fruit, cereal and pastries. Fab hotel in a great location.
