Hotel Gallia Palace

I felt seriously let down by the hotel's safety and professionalism. While I was out of the room, someone tampered with my belongings and stole items, even though the “Do Not Disturb” sign was clearly on the door. That showed a serious lack of respect for privacy and internal controls. When I reported it, the front desk was dismissive and unprofessional. They took no proper action and showed no real concern for my rights or for looking into what happened. The hotel doesn't meet even basic safety standards, and staff seem to have little understanding of their duty to protect guests' property. I wouldn't recommend staying here, especially if security and privacy matter to you.

The pool area is poor, boxed in by high-rises. There are much better places to stay, so I can't recommend this one.

We were very comfortable here, and the buffet was terrific. We never learned the staff's names, but I especially want to thank the thin brunette woman. She was so kind and attentive to my girlfriend and me. The guy on the night shift was nice to us too. They were both the best of the hotel staff.

The location made this feel like a home away from home, with the beach and nearest Metromare station each just a minute away and restaurants all around. I stayed for 9 days and had a larger room with a double bed and a single, enough for three people. The furniture and decor were older, though the room had been nicely refurbished, and the bathroom was clean with a bathtub, which is a welcome feature these days. Breakfasts were fantastic, and the front desk staff were wonderful and friendly. Good luck to you!
