That drive in and out has insanely beautiful views, and being behind a gate means only hotel guests can pass through. If you can find an available room, book it. It’s an experience I’ll never forget. A special thanks to Francesca, too. I left my coat on the couch after checkout and was leaving Italy that same day. She calmly and kindly helped ship it back to me. Thank you, Francesca!

We were all sick with colds and fevers, then got a flat tire on the drive. It was one panic after another, but the beautiful scenery at the accommodation made the stress disappear as soon as we arrived. It felt like a fairy tale. The meal was amazing, too. I was so full I could only finish half, which I still regret. Those memories will keep me happy for years. And don’t forget to buy the wine, it’s a must!

The apartment was surprisingly cool and well equipped, with a pool and views that are hard to beat. The owner was friendly, and the quiet surroundings came with crickets singing in the evening. Agriturismo Baccoleno really is perfect. One idea: add a slow charger for guests. More and more people are driving EVs. 😉

Nice gate and fence. People travel thousands of kilometres for professional photos, then arrive to find barbed wire fencing. Italians are lovely and welcoming.

We spent four nights here, surrounded by beautiful cypress trees. The sunrise through the morning mist was magical, and the sunset on the day of our friend’s proposal made an already special moment unforgettable. It was a lovely base for exploring Tuscany, with Siena, Pienza, and the Val d’Orcia area all within about an hour’s drive. We were busy while we were there, but I’d absolutely stay here again if I return. The only small downside was that the walls are a bit thin, so it’s best to keep the noise down at night.
