Montalceto Tuscan Nest

The mattresses could have been more comfortable, but this was still a real gem. Our apartment was beautiful, and every window looked out on a breathtaking view, like a painting. The sunsets were poetic. The whole property is fenced, which meant our dogs could roam freely. It’s a truly enchanting place to unwind.

We spent three days here during the August holiday week in the Giotto apartment, a real gem even though it’s on the mezzanine floor. It felt like a blessing for the animals and their owners, with nature all around. The only thing missing was a fan, but we were surrounded by nature.

Moths in the carpets and upholstered furniture made this a holiday we wouldn’t repeat. The apartment was dirty and the kitchen didn’t have enough equipment. The view across the Tuscan hills helped, but it couldn’t make up for everything.

We had a very large, comfortable apartment that worked well for our group of six. There are five or six apartments in different sizes, all renovated nicely. The park has a fantastic view, and the property sits in the middle of the Tuscan countryside. Getting there means driving a couple of kilometers on an unpaved road. That wasn’t an issue in spring, but it’s worth checking on in winter.
