The breakfast that comes with the stay is a voucher for one drink and one pastry at a nearby bistro. My room faced a busy street, and the noise came through easily because the insulation was poor. People passing by loudly woke me several times. There was also a garbage truck collecting rubbish right outside the building, apparently from late at night into the early morning.

The breakfast is included through a partner bar, though I didn’t use the voucher, so I can’t say anything about it. The room itself was nice, but could use a bit more care with cleanliness and details. Mine was next to another room and connected by a locked door. Even ordinary sounds and conversations carried through, so there wasn’t much privacy, especially at night or in the quiet early morning. The B&B is very central, close to the square and everyday amenities. The woman who welcomed us was kind and helpful, and gave us useful information.

It can get quite noisy at night, but that comes with staying in the middle of the historic center. The B&B Piazza Del Popolo is very clean, and the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. It’s just steps from Piazza del Popolo, a strategic base for soaking up Ascoli Piceno’s lively atmosphere.
