Royal Garden Hotel

We still don't have a room key, and the only good thing about this place is its location. The garage looks like an abandoned atomic shelter, so I hope our car is still there. At first, we weren't even given keys and had to be escorted to the room. We were told we couldn't get in without going back down to the info pult and asking again. The room isn't practical either: one of the two charging ports doesn't work, so I had to move the TV to plug in my devices. The staff were rude, especially at the bar. The bald guy acted like we weren't there, then yelled at us when we said we were in a hurry and refused to serve us. And now we're waiting for the electricity to come back because there's none. We're desperate and sitting in the dark. There is no way this hotel deserves four stars. Please don't come here, it's a nightmare. I'd warmly recommend sleeping in a tent in-font of the arena for a better experience. Send help 😭

I expected more from a 4-star hotel in Milan, but the amenities and service didn't meet that standard. The breakfast was extremely limited, with poor variety and not even a basic egg or omelette station. It felt like a budget hotel breakfast. There was no kettle, coffee, or tea in the room, and no toothbrush or toothpaste either. I know those toiletries may not be required everywhere, but they're generally expected at this level. Several power outlets didn't work, which was inconvenient and concerning from a safety standpoint. I can't give this a high rating and wouldn't choose to stay here again.

On the 9th of August,2025, while on holiday, I needed a hotel for one night to rest. I found this one on Google and checked in at around 5:00 in the morning. I woke at 8:30 and went for breakfast. When I came back, the cleaner was in my room cleaning without permission. She had put my clothes in a rubbish bin in the hallway. I explained that I'd only been there for three hours and my booking was paid until 11:00, so there was no reason to clean yet. She didn't speak English and I don't speak Italian, so we couldn't understand each other. I went to reception to explain and get my clothes back, but the receptionist wasn't helpful. I paid €105 for the room and breakfast, stayed just three hours, and my belongings were treated with no respect. It was a very unpleasant experience, and I don't recommend this hotel.

I've never encountered worse service in the hotel industry. The check-in staff were rude and had a bad attitude. We'd paid a deposit, but they missed the information and wouldn't let us check in. It took more than 30 minutes to sort out. In the end, we had to show our deposit transaction record before they slowly started the check-in process. I highly do not recommend this hotel, as its service falls short of hotel standards.
