The family who runs the place was the highlight. They were friendly and helpful, answered all our questions, and gave us useful tips about the area, restaurants, and supermarkets. When our car caused trouble, they even took us to a rental service with much better terms than the airport options. The homemade limoncello was incredibly good, too. The rooms are simple but clean and functional, with nothing to complain about. We’ll stay here next time we visit Assisi.

Take some time to enjoy the feel of Rivotorto itself, a small town with a lot of atmosphere. Il Quercione is a lovely, quiet base, with a spacious, clean apartment and friendly, helpful hosts. The surrounding area is picturesque, and Assisi’s center is easy to reach. Perugia and other towns are also quick trips by train.

The bathroom was tiny, and there was no lift, roof terrace, or air conditioning.

The room was clean and really nice, with its own bathroom and a small kitchen. There’s no breakfast, though they did leave a few little things to eat, plus coffee, tea, and flowers. The owners are lovely, friendly, and very helpful. I’d recommend staying here 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Il Quercione was a great base for seeing Assisi and the surrounding area. We had a short stay, but the welcome, cleanliness, and location were all just right. We’ll definitely come back! Pino
