Giotto B&B

We spent a happy week here while visiting Assisi, and found it handy for walking around the whole area. We didn’t use the spa, though someone who did told us it was very nice.

I loved the hotel’s look and charm, and our Junior Suite was spacious and nicely designed. The staff were very helpful, especially with arranging an airport taxi, since there aren’t many drivers available. Sadly, the noise made it hard to enjoy the stay. The rooms barely block sounds from outside. Even on the 6th floor, cars seemed to be passing right by the window. We could hear traffic, people talking inside and outside the hotel, and carts being moved around. The church bells were audible too, but I actually found them charming. They weren’t the problem. We barely slept because of the poor sound insulation. I’m unsure I’d return, and next time I might pick a quieter countryside borgo or a castle.

The hotel has amazing views, and we loved the panoramic outlook from our balcony. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The building is historic, so parts may feel a little dated, but our room was clean and spacious. I’d recommend staying here in Assisi.

Heaven on Earth! My wife and I drove from Rome to see St. Francis of Assisi. The dinner was amazing, and the views were breathtaking. We felt right at home and can’t wait to return. Thank you! -Elias and Mirna
