We stopped in during some free time on a tour, just wanting an Aperol Spritz and somewhere to relax. It was exactly the right place to soak up the atmosphere. The service was beautiful, polite, and kind, always with a smile. They even brought free bar snacks, and there was no pressure to order more drinks or anything else. It’s right by the tour bus parking. Definitely worth a visit.

Syria was one of our lovely hosts and helped make the stay wonderful. The hotel is old-style, full of little details, with spacious, comfortable rooms. Its history and the family who own it are part of Assisi tradition. The staff were welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived. First time in Assisi and at Hotel Berti, but it won’t be the last. It’s on the main entrance road, just a turn away from a huge, God-given tourist parking area that drivers will appreciate. The owners also have La Terrazze di Properzio, only a few minutes’ walk away. The balcony there has a gorgeous view over Assisi and the surroundings. If you care about both price and good food, I strongly recommend it, the cost and taste are perfectly matched. Welcome to Assisi, Hotel Berti, and the restaurant. It’s a little aged, but still cozy and quiet, and the rooms are cleaned every day. Getting here is easy since it’s near the bus and taxi station, so there’s no need to drag luggage uphill. There’s an ATM next door. Breakfast starts at 7:30 a.m. and is the same each day, but the cappuccino is good. The limoncello spritz is good too!
