The host family were so friendly, and Marisa’s baked treats made an already lovely stay even better. We spent a week at la terrazza and loved how quiet and beautiful it was. We’re used to lovely countryside at home, near the cotswolds and the royal forest of Dean, but this place stood up to it. It’s a great base for exploring umbria. We also had a wonderful time just having a picnic in the sunny garden and taking in the views. I’d especially recommend it to anyone who appreciates peace and quiet, and I’d love to return.

The evenings were a highlight, with a starry sky and fireflies appearing each night. We also loved relaxing by the pool and on the patio, where the view was hard to beat. The whole stay felt like a wonderful human experience, surrounded by the quiet of the countryside. We spent a week with our family and my father in the Maddalena apartment at the Terrazza. It was pretty and comfortable for all five of us, with a spectacular view from the kitchen. Sig. Marisa, Sig. Marcello and Sig. Marina were warm, wonderful hosts who made us feel at home. Sig. Marisa kept surprising us with her crostata, hand picked cherries, eggs and their homemade wine.

We came for a weekend visit to Assisi and found the property in a beautiful spot on Mount Subasio. The owners were welcoming and very helpful, and the apartments had everything we needed. Breakfast is available if requested: they bring homemade cakes in the evening, along with plenty of food for self-service the next morning. The city center is only a few minutes away by car. You can park in the first parking lot you reach. Recommended.

We spent a lovely week here and were able to enjoy complete peace and relaxation. The terrace has a beautiful view.
