Ostello Victor Center

Dinner was genuinely tasty, though the service was slow and the food didn’t arrive when it should. Breakfast, on the other hand, was a bit disappointing, and the pool was hardly ever open. The room was packed: four bunk beds and a single bed in just 30m2. The bunks felt unsafe because there was no ladder. We had AC and a TV, but weren’t given the remotes. The toilets had no seats, and their doors kept sticking and wouldn’t lock.

I’ve never stayed anywhere that made me feel this trapped. The neighbors were loud with their dogs, there was no internet, and I wouldn’t recommend the place. The bathroom had mold, and the beds were filthy, covered in hair, and breaking. They felt so unstable that I was scared.

Even the toilet situation was odd, since most of them had no seats. Food was the bigger problem during my week-long vacation: the staff couldn’t reliably prepare vegetarian or vegan meals, or tell us what was actually vegetarian. Sometimes the options were just plain rice or pasta. More than once, we were assured a dish was vegetarian and then found out it contained meat.

We came as a group and everything went smoothly. The staff were professional, friendly, and ready to help, and there’s a pool too. It’s a really good place for a holiday near Assisi. We had a very nice stay as a group. Grazie mille!
