The pool was clean, tidy and almost never crowded, and beyond it there's an arduous descent of over 250 steps to the sea. At the bottom, though, you find a private cove, clear water and a fabulous landscape. The views stretch along the western coast to Vulcano and Lipari, and the sunset was spectacular enough to make the stay unforgettable. The apartment itself brought the rating down. It wasn't clean, with dust everywhere, and the maintenance could use work. The bathroom is tiny and a shower floods the whole space. Ants kept turning up despite our best efforts to get rid of them. For the apartment alone, I'd give it one star. The pool and cove bring the overall rating up to average.

The only real drawback in our apartment was a musty smell coming from the kitchen. It wasn't exactly dirty, but that smell was there, along with the mosquitoes. Still, it was a positive stay. The owners were welcoming and ready to help with whatever we needed, the pool was well maintained, and the view alone is worth half the price. The location is excellent.

It's a beautiful residence, with well-kept apartments and a lovely pool among the greenery that was rarely crowded. Best of all is the sea view. Steps lead down to a beach that takes some effort to reach, but it's worth it. The water is crystal clear and full of fish. We're right in the Milazzo marine protected area. Wonderful spot, highly recommended, and one I'll remember for a long time.

The private beach is full of plant and animal life, and there's a pool at the residence too. Capo Milazzo nature reserve's parking area, where you can get to the Venus Pool, is a two-minute drive away. The town center takes about ten minutes by car and has a greengrocer, bakeries, a supermarket, bars, pastry shops and restaurants.
