I picked Sottoassisi Guesthouse because I wanted to be near the train station, and the location worked really well. My room was spacious, very clean, and had what I needed. I barely spent time there with so much to see around town, though a few more coffee pods would have been nice since I was only given one. The host was friendly and helpful, let me check in early once the room was ready, and stored my luggage after checkout. It felt safe, and the price was good too.

We only had a short stay, and I really wish it could have been longer. The place was beautiful, clean, and smelled lovely. It’s an 8-minute walk from Assisi train station, and Basilica Santa Maria is about five minutes away on foot. Alo Ali Kebab shop, with halal food for Muslims, is just across the road, and there are lots of 5 stars review restaurants nearby for non-muslims. Joy, the housekeeper, was amazing, and we miss her already. Diletta, you were my life saver. Thanks for having us. We’ll definitely stay here again when we return to Assisi.

The hotel manager is fantastic. The place itself is comfortable, clean, and in a great spot. I recommend it!

SottoAssisi was such a relaxing place to stay. The room was spacious and really clean, and the surroundings were quiet and peaceful. It was easy to walk to the train station, good restaurants, and cafes, and getting to Basilica di San Francesco d’ Assisi was straightforward. Our host was warm and kind, and check-in and checkout were hassle-free. The only small issue was that the internet was sometimes slow, so be ready to use your own connection.

Really appreciated how clean the room was, and the sheets and towels were wonderful. The host was easy to communicate with, and there are restaurants nearby. It was a very pleasant stay, with the station and transportation close by.
