Casa del Ventiniere

Massimo and Stefania were wonderful to us, taking us in and being so helpful and kind. The house is beautiful, right in nature, and has an amazing kitchen. Our room was especially cool in the summer. It’s a real gem for a fair price, and Asti is in a great central spot for exploring the Piemonte area ♥️ Grazie mille!

We chose this place for a six-day work stay because we planned to cook dinner ourselves, but we ended up avoiding the kitchen all week. It was a mess, and I’d stay away from the greasy oven. A dirty glass sat on the kitchen table, which I think is shared by all the rooms, for five days. There was also a clump of dog hair in the hall between the bedroom and kitchen for those same five days. To respond, the first two days were Wednesday and Thursday, and we hadn’t had time to work out what was going on yet. When we came back on Monday, the bedroom floor stains and cobwebs were still there. I have photos and haven’t posted them, but I documented everything, including crumbs and other stuff in the corner of the kitchen counter. I can post those too, including the three unpackaged biscuits we found in the fridge on day one.

A charming little B&B with big, warm, clean rooms. Its location is handy for getting to Asti and places like Turin.

For €60, my partner and I got a night’s sleep and breakfast in this lovely place in the hills near Asti. The rooms are simple, clean, and furnished with new furniture. The coffee machine had a small glitch and wouldn’t work, but breakfast still included fruit juices, toast, jams, and, best of all, a hazelnut tart I think was homemade. They also left us a little gift: a spreadable cream and another homemade dessert. Well done. If we’re back in the area, we know where to stay.
