Cascina Bricchetto

Mrs. Giuliana welcomed us so warmly and looked after us like we were her own children or grandchildren. We felt completely at home, and had a great stay overall. The farmhouse is charming and traditional, set in the Asti countryside, with stylish furnishings that you have to like. The only thing that didn’t quite work for us was the mattress and pillows, which seemed ready for replacement. Maybe that’s just personal preference. Recommended.

Even though it’s right beside the highway, the setting was quiet. We stayed one night, arrived much earlier than planned, and the owners welcomed us without any fuss. They were very kind and helpful. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed, and breakfast was sweet and plentiful.

They made us feel right at home and warmed our hearts. Before we left, Giuliana and her husband sent us off with tomatoes from their garden and a reminder to take it slowly and be careful on the roads. They left bottles of water in our room each day and did lots of other thoughtful things too. The tomatoes were exceptional, a long way from organic! Cascina Bricchetto is a lovingly restored old farmhouse, surrounded by lush greenery. Giuliana and her husband are delightful, and the place is full of lovely details. Breakfast was huge and generous, with eggs from their own chickens. They also suggested Trattoria Ristorante San Carlo, where we ate exceptionally well at prices that seemed almost unfair. Asti and the surrounding area are beyond praise. We give it 5 out of 5, 10 out of 10.

We slept very well, with a quiet night and a comfortable room. It looked a little dated, but was clean and had a functional bathroom. The hostess was especially friendly and helpful. A charming little B&B.
