B&B RoMa Atella

I enjoyed everything here. The place is fantastic, and thanks for the service.

We came to Atella with my sister and parents and booked the B&B Roma by phone. The gentleman told my dad the apartment had two bedrooms and would suit four adults. He quoted €30 per person per day, or €27 if we didn’t want breakfast. Once we arrived, he said it was €30 per person per day without breakfast, then smiled and said we’d misunderstood. He didn’t keep his word. The apartment turned out to have just one bedroom, plus a living room with a kitchen, dining table, and refrigerator. He’d put a bunk bed and another cot in the living room, with one right beside the fridge, which was noisy at night. The bathroom was in that same room, so our parents had to come into our room to use it at night. There was no bathroom window, and between the drain and toilet vent it got noisy. There wasn’t a washing machine or even a clothesline. The gentleman told us we could wash our clothes by hand like in the old days. We’re not coming back. First time and last time.

The rooms are spacious and have every comfort, and there’s free parking nearby. This is an excellent B&B, clean and right in the center of town, making it easy to reach places like the Federiciano Castle in Melfi, Lagopesole Castle, and the lovely Monticchio lakes.

After reading the other reviews, I realized I’d been ripped off. The gentleman charged me 50 euro for just a couple of hours. He offers everyone breakfast for 30 euro a day, though. I wouldn’t recommend it. For 50 euro, I spent a whole day in a B&B with a whirlpool and everything, not just two hours.
