The private way down to the sea was a lovely touch. The shore is a bit rocky, but it’s still peaceful and beautiful. We also enjoyed the clean, well-kept pool and the sea views. Villa Sciammaca was beautifully designed and spotless, and made it easy to switch off and relax.

We spent four days at Villa Sciammaca and had a really good stay. The flat had everything we needed, and the hosts were warm and accommodating. It sits beside a quiet bay, with water access shared with the other villa guests. In the evenings, using the whirlpool while looking out over the sea, Catania’s lights, and Mt. Etna was something special. Catania Airport is about 30 minutes away by car, and Catania and Syracus are easy to reach by car too.

The apartment was very clean and had a sea view. From here, we could quickly get to the beach, Etna, Cava Grande, and Catania’s crazy fish market. It’s a great base for getting around by car. I’ve been to Sicily three times, and this gave me a different view of the island. We had a wonderful week.
