The location was good, and the staff were really helpful.

It’s a small, cozy hotel with lovely attention to detail. My room was very clean and tidy, with everything there, including towels, soap, and an extra wool blanket. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. A wonderful place and excellent value for money!

We were there in early September with our 2-year-old daughter, our first time visiting. The staff were welcoming and kind, and they took special care with my celiac disease. Thanks, Elena. We’ll be back, and I recommend it!

The rooms were spotlessly clean, their strongest point, and they were functional with spacious bathrooms. The food was good and portions were normal, though the salad buffet could be larger. If you arrive last, there may be very little left. Breakfast was okay, but fruit should be put out on the buffet so guests don’t have to ask. I understand that the very elderly clientele may affect this. The main issue was sleep. We were woken every night, always, at 1:30, then 5, then 7 or 7:15 in the morning, and sometimes at 6. We brought it up very politely, but the noise only got worse. They probably said, "Yes, we'll let you know," and then didn't. This was at least the case in the third-floor rooms on the west side. I can’t say whether it’s the same on the east side of that floor. The floor above belongs to them and is private, and there’s practically no soundproofing in the rooms, so I think this will keep being a problem in those rooms. It doesn’t matter to us that an elderly lady was sleeping above us. We were paying guests and wanted to sleep. The street below and passing cars are barely audible once the shutters and windows are shut. When it’s hot, though, sleeping with the window open is impossible, and you can hear large trucks when they go by. With the window open during the day, it feels like being on the highway, though hardly anyone stays in their room then. We left incredibly tired and short on sleep. I’m a light sleeper, but my husband can sleep through almost anything, even bombs. Waking him several times a night despite his earplugs says something about how loud the noise was. Without the sleep problem, I would have given it 4 stars.

We’ve stayed here for the second year running, this time with our dog too, and Elena and Gianemilio always make us feel at home. It’s a small, welcoming hotel on Auronzo’s main street, centrally placed for reaching the main Dolomite attractions. The rooms have a cozy mountain style and are kept clean and in good shape. The home-cooked food is delicious, with menus to suit everyone, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It’s pet-friendly and very good value. Highly recommended!
