Holiday Apartment Rosenheim

The quiet setting suited us, and the children's slopes were nearby. We spent a week in a two-bedroom apartment as a family. There's a great bakery 100 meters away and a small but well-stocked supermarket 200 meters away. The Gitschberg/Jochtal ski lift is about 1 km from the house. We could leave and dry our gear for the next day in the large ski room, and parking was right in front. The owners were kind and helpful, even adding a bed for my brother-in-law when he came to ski with us for a day. A wonderful find.

Maranza, a hamlet of Rio di Pusteria, sits higher up and takes more effort to reach. But I think it's worth it: the sun comes up earlier and stays out later, so it feels warmer than elsewhere. The apartment is spacious, warm, and welcoming, with a great view. Recommended.

Maranza is a lovely, quiet little place, and the apartment is set in a very peaceful spot with a nice panorama. It’s roomy and bright, with two bedrooms, and the manager gave us a fully Tyrolean welcome. I recommend stopping for something sweet at the distinctive artisan bakery about 100mt away. An electric kettle and a few tea or herbal tea bags would be useful in the kitchen.

In January I spent a week skiing with my family, and everything was GREAT. We chose Vals because it's better for beginners. The slopes are gentle and flat, so my two young children weren't scared, and there's a great ski school there. The apartment was beautiful, very spacious, and had every comfort. We'd love to return!
