The place was spotless and hygienic, and the service and food were good for the price, though some dishes were quite greasy and pasta sometimes came with Parmesan. The family seemed busy, which is understandable with only two people, but they were friendly and helpful. There were a few cats wandering around, and one was once found in a room. The host family’s young daughter also often went into rooms. At first, the rooms couldn’t be locked, which I found unacceptable. The family apparently had trouble with lost keys before, but still asked for room keys when we arrived. I also think hand soap should be provided in the bathrooms at any price point. Aside from the child, the cats, and the missing soap, I’d highly recommend this guesthouse.

The Puster River runs behind the house, and a hiking trail through nature is just a minute away. Vals is a delightful village, and I’ve never had better pizza. It’s a simple guesthouse, but full of charm. The owner was super friendly, breakfast was fantastic, and the view was priceless. The value for money was unbeatable, and the hosts were so friendly. I’ll be back.

The valley is one of a kind, and the place itself is enchanting. It’s beautiful and quaint, with basic but clean rooms.
