The building's old wooden character has been turned into a beautiful modern space, and the rooms were fantastic. We also got to use the sauna, a welcome extra after a tiring day. Dinner stood out, with four courses of traditional Italian food, and breakfast had a very decent spread. Francesca made everything easy and helped us sort out a couple of transport issues. Add in the Alpine views, the history of the building, and the fantastic service, and this is one of the best places I've stayed. Excellent value if you're in the area.

Right off the black ski run. We only stopped for drinks, and the bombadinio and hot chocolate really hit the spot. Lunch looked special.

Francesca and her team are such a find that I almost don't want to tell anyone. They're so welcoming and friendly that once people hear about it, everyone will want to come.

Just below the crest, this is a beautiful spot to stop after the Mascognaz trail, with the option to continue down toward Crest. Service was quick and high quality, and the staff were friendly. We loved everything we tried: local cured meats and cheeses, tagliolini with hemp and Saint Marcel ham, and paccheri with vegetables and fondue. For dessert we had lavender parfait and yogurt mousse with apricots and amaretti biscuits. Compliments to the chefs, it was all delicious. We'll be back.
