A real gem in beautiful Champoluc, with free covered and uncovered parking that was cleared each day when it snowed. The hotel restaurant serves excellent local dishes at fair prices, and I’d absolutely recommend booking a meal there. Non-residents can eat there too. For skiing, we rented our gear in Champoluc. The hotel shuttle runs morning and evening to the Champoluc cable car and the Frechay shuttle; there’s also a free ski bus roughly every half hour to both lifts. We got better ski days from Frachey, which skips nearly half an hour of skiing. Beginners should know one route is a black run, though elsewhere it would probably be graded red. Champoluc is a beautiful 10-15 minute walk along a lit forest path, with restaurants to enjoy. The rooms and facilities were great, with what you’d expect from a four-star hotel, including a spa and toiletries. Best of all, the staff were brilliant and did everything they could to make us feel at home, including the canine hosts Kira, Fox and Stella 🐕.

The room was a little small, but it was really just for sleeping, so who cares ;-). Otherwise, this is a cosy hotel with good facilities, including a sauna, a good restaurant, and lovely, warm staff and owners.
