10/10
Mario made our late arrival easy, and he was punctual when he offered to take the three of us to the airport at 6am for just 10 extra Euros. The apartment is close to Bergamo airport, very clean, and furnished with a lovely old-fashioned elegance. We slept really well in the comfortable beds, and the bathroom was spotless. The kitchen had cooking basics, plus Mario had left croissants, milk, and cookies for breakfast. It was a really pleasant stay for me, my wife, and my sister-in-law. I’d happily recommend it to anyone visiting Bergamo.

The breakfast was practically nonexistent. We had to press for what was supposed to be included, and eventually got a packaged cake and fruit juice. Inside, there was a smoky smell and the conditions were only just adequate. When we arrived, nobody was there, so we waited 10 minutes for the woman running the property. She said the office was closed, so we paid cash and received no receipt. We definitely won’t come back.

The owner is genuinely kind and clearly loves what he does. The apartment is comfortable and breakfast is generous. I’d recommend it for families, especially since he’s ready to help if anything comes up.

The host was really friendly, and the older apartment is nice. It does get very hot in summer, though, since there’s no air conditioning.

Quiet and peaceful, and a great place to stay if you’re flying out of Orio al Serio.
