The apartment was beautiful, very clean, and right in the heart of Florence. The owner was kind and polite. Our problem was what happened when we had to cancel: after reserving three months in advance, we were asked to pay the full, substantial amount. Once we’d paid, the owner put the apartment dates back up for rent. Since the dates had been released, we felt a refund might have been more appropriate if it was rented again. We made the mistake of booking without first signing a contract or understanding the cancellation penalty, and learned from it. I’d advise choosing a hotel or agreeing to written terms before you book.

The hostess was friendly, and there’s a supermarket nearby. The apartment has a nice view and a central location, with modern furnishings and a fully equipped kitchen. The bathroom is fairly large and has a shower. There’s also a washing machine and dryer. The air conditioning worked well in both the living room and bedroom.
