The host was warm and welcoming, and gave me some great recommendations. She even did my laundry for €10. A car is ideal for getting around the Dolomites, though there are bus stops and buses nearby. Remember to bring cash euros for the city tax, €2.30 per person per day. I loved how peaceful the area felt, away from the busiest tourist spots. The apartment is right beside the cable car, which goes up to an incredible attraction with a short, beautiful trail that feels like walking through a national park. A supermarket with fresh food and essentials is only a four-minute walk away. Inside, it’s spacious and comfortable, with a well-stocked kitchen, a wonderfully comfortable bed, and thoughtful touches throughout. The internet was reliable, which made working remotely easy. I arrived to stunning mountain views, the kind you can sit and take in with a cup of tea. It was a lovely, well-equipped stay, and that view will stay with me. I’ll definitely come back!

The chair lift is right at the doorstep and takes you to the top of the mountain, while the town itself is beautiful. We had an amazing four-night stay and felt welcome and at home. The rooms are beautifully designed and decorated, the place is very quiet, and the facilities had everything we needed. It was a highlight of our holiday, and we can’t wait to return.

The rooms were cozy and clean, with breathtaking Dolomites views. Chalet Prades is well placed near the parking area and the cable car entrance for Piz La Ila, making it convenient for activities in both summer and winter. The local owners know the area well and gave useful suggestions for hiking, biking, skiing, and mountaineering routes. It was a very enjoyable stay in a beautiful setting.

We stayed from February 24, 2024 to March 2, 2024 for our first trip to the Dolomites, and it certainly won’t be our last time at Chalet Prades. The house felt so warm and welcoming that we felt at home. It’s a charming place at the foot of a ski lift, with access to the whole ski area. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable, and breakfast fresh and delicious. Parking was easy, just let them know when you book. Roswitha’s service was professional, punctual, and kind. The villa was quiet in the evenings, the restaurants were good, and other resorts were easy to reach by car. The Italian ski school and lift pass office are 50 meters from the hotel.
