We were in town for the Maratona bike race and spent an extended weekend at Sotciastel. Hildegard even prepared our breakfast the night before the race, when we had to leave early, and was happy to take our special wishes into account. We felt at home as soon as we arrived and loved the whole stay. The house looks just as beautiful as in the pictures, the rooms are very comfortable, and the service was exceptional. We’ll definitely look to stay here again when we return to Badia.

Breakfast at Sotciastel was a real highlight, with a varied spread of excellent food, including fresh fruit and local cheese. The staff were exceptional and always ready to help, and the private shuttle made getting to the slopes easy. The chalet itself is comfortable and cozy, well maintained, and surrounded by snow-capped mountains. The views from the rooms were mesmerizing, and the peaceful atmosphere made the stay special. This was one of the best holidays I’ve had. Sotciastel felt like a hidden gem, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone after a quiet, relaxing break. It could work for a romantic getaway or for some time alone. I’d rate the stay 5/5. The location, breakfast, and hospitality were all superb.

We came for four days in early January hoping for a traditional, relaxing chalet, and Sotciastel was just right. Breakfast was homemade and sourced locally. Hildegarde and Herman were always ready to help, and greeted us with a smile.

We felt completely at home here and had a stay that was both relaxing and full of things to do. The hosts were super friendly and always happy to chat, and they gave us great hiking tips. The house has a range of rooms and has been restored with real care and skill. A beautiful place in a stunning Dolomite setting. Thank you, Hildegard and Hermann!
