I found the place clean and comfortable, and its location worked really well for a night in Venice. It was exactly where the listing said it would be, so I’m not sure about the reviews saying otherwise. Management might want to reply if that’s been fixed, to prevent confusion. The entry and bedroom both use a code that they say is changed after each stay. As a woman travelling alone, I’d have felt better with a deadbolt I could lock from inside at night. Still, a decent place.

The location is perfect, but the stay was really unpleasant. The bed wasn’t comfortable, and there were loads of mosquitoes, more than 50 in the room. The host said that was normal for Venice at that time of year and that insecticide wouldn’t help, but didn’t offer a solution or a useful answer. We sprayed the place anyway, and it worked. We lost an hour of our precious time in Venice dealing with a problem we shouldn’t have had to fix ourselves. There were bloodied mosquito marks all over the walls, which was disgusting.

The manager helped with our luggage and turned on the AC, so our room was cool when we arrived. We had a lovely two-day stay, my daughters and I. The room was spacious and very clean, with a convenient location for the canals and for reaching the train and buses to the airport. My teenage daughters especially appreciated the Wi-Fi. We loved it and would highly recommend the place.

The canal views from our rooms were beautiful, and the rooms themselves were clean and comfortable. Having our own space worked well for our group of six. The check-in was a hassle, though: you have to go to another hotel about a 10-15 minute walk away. The concierge was friendly, but I wish they had a better arrangement. Also, the B&B name gives the wrong idea since there isn’t actually breakfast. They should make that clear in the listings or change the name.
