I don't often leave negative reviews, but this was a particularly frustrating and disappointing experience. Our flight was canceled because of strikes, something completely outside our control, and our travel plans fell apart. We contacted the hotel hoping for some understanding or at least a basic reply. It took repeated attempts to get a response, and even Booking.com customer service couldn't reach them. When someone eventually got back to us, they showed little hospitality or willingness to help. The manager's dismissive attitude was the most shocking part. We were told the room couldn't be resold, but it was never put back on the platform. I then asked him directly about booking different dates, and he said he couldn't help because he wasn't working that day. He sent me to his colleague Stella, who was also off. It felt as though nobody was available or willing to assist. The lack of empathy and professionalism was deeply disappointing. We have often appreciated the hospitality of smaller places in Italy over the years, but that was entirely missing here. The hotel was very hard to reach, and based on our experience, I wouldn't expect meaningful help during a stay. Venice has plenty of similar options, so I strongly recommend choosing somewhere that takes communication and customer service seriously.

The staff were incredibly helpful from check-in right through to check-out. The room was spacious and clean, and much better than I expected after hearing that hotels on Venice island aren't especially good. The location is great, within walking distance of pretty much anywhere and not far from the main station or water bus. The street behind the next one is a gem, full of good coffee shops, Venetian pubs, and restaurants.

My room was cleaned thoroughly every day, and the staff were friendly and gave me tips on what to see nearby. The hotel is close to the main streets, but set in a quiet area, so sleeping at night was easy. Great place.

After a disappointing Air B&B stay, we checked in here and felt welcome right away. The owner turned our day and our whole Venice experience around. There’s a lovely garden, the rooms are clean, and the place is right by the canal. Everyone on staff was so kind and friendly. If you want a charming, magical stay, I highly recommend this place and their other location in San Marco.

I had an incredible stay. Simone was a welcoming and helpful host, and the room was clean and quiet. It only takes a few minutes on foot to reach the famous sights. The garden is lovely for relaxing during the day or having breakfast in the morning. The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had, both for quality and quantity. If I come back to Venice, I know where I'll stay. Grazie mille, Simone!
