We wandered into this cafe on some back streets for coffee and got such a warm welcome from the staff. The woman serving us talked us into having a limoncello spritz with our sandwiches instead, and I'm glad she did. It was delicious, so we ordered more. The sandwiches were tasty too, and the atmosphere was lively, with lots of graduation celebrations at nearby tables since the cafe is by the university. The whole setting was fabulous. Definitely worth checking out if you're nearby.

A proper local spot, nice for a beer, coffee, or a panini.

Santa Marta is a quiet area, and the staff were really nice.

The owner was very kind and knew how to deal with customers, which is the only reason I'm giving two stars. Her husband seemed to have no idea about hospitality. When I asked whether I could work remotely from the bar, he said nothing. I stayed for two hours and ordered several things, partly out of politeness and respect, so he could make some money that afternoon. When I went to pay, he said I couldn't work there because I was taking up space. I was the only customer that day, as far as I could tell. Nobody else came in except briefly for a coffee at the counter.
