The beds were the only real downside. Two felt like sleeping on a piece of wood, and even the large one was too hard for my taste. My wife and kiddo didn’t like them either. After a full day walking around beautiful Venice, though, I was tired enough not to care much. The location and amenities helped make up for it. We stayed three nights, and the host arranged for a porter to take our bags to the train station on departure day. I highly recommend using one, since you have to cross at least three bridges to get there, including one quite large one. The host was nice, there were restaurants nearby and a Coop for groceries, and the location put us about 20 minutes from the taxi, train station, and plaza. The rooms were quiet apart from boat horns, and closing the shutters made them very dark. The air conditioning worked fine, which was great for sleeping.

We’re on the top floor, with a large balcony and a lovely view. The apartments are fantastic and have everything you need. Shops, a fresh food market, and a local supermarket are all within walking distance.

The big terrace and the views were lovely, and there’s a spacious dining and lounge area. The bedrooms and bathrooms are a bit dated and dusty, but for the price we paid, we couldn’t have asked for more. The kitchen is small but brand new, with dishes and glasses. Bring your own dishwasher tablets or soap. We were met at the bus station and taken to the apartment, which helped since it’s on a tiny street and might have been hard to find. We could check in early and leave our bags, and Francesco was very accommodating and kept our comfort in mind. It’s a convenient place for a group, in a great location, with welcoming hosts. Thanks for making us feel so welcome.

There’s a Coop grocery store just up the block, and the location is amazing, central to so many things. The staff were incredibly helpful, and the air conditioning worked in every room. From both sides of the Giorgione Residence, we could watch gondolas and boats all day. Such a good find!
