The host made the week feel especially welcoming, helping with transport, suggesting good local food, and sharing places to see nearby. I felt more like I was visiting a friend than staying at a guest house. I really didn't want to leave after a week here. The property itself is beautiful, with lots of greenery, bright flowers, and lovely orange and lemon trees. It felt like a dream each morning, and was just right for unwinding and being close to nature.

The garden was great, and the house was lovely. Francesco was very friendly and always around when we needed him. We had everything we needed there.

Giuseppe, his mother, and even the cats were so welcoming. The apartment has a good bed, shower, and kitchen, and the air conditioning works well. Badolato proper is a medieval gem, about a ten minute walk away, with restaurants and a mini-market. The place sits at the start of a small gorge, and the well kept terraces have fruit trees and a garden patch. A little slice of heaven. I'd strongly recommend it, and hope to come back.

The nearby town has lots of history, lovely restaurants, friendly people, and breathtaking views. It's a wonderful spot for some peace and romance, and the kind host and his family add to the relaxed, welcoming feel.
