The views alone make this place worth seeing. The space is beautifully presented, the hosts are friendly and speak several languages, and Bagni di Lucca is just a stone’s throw away. I hope to come back soon.

Dinner at the owner’s restaurant in Bagni di Lucca is worth enjoying, with regional dishes and excellent value. The property is in Gombereto, an ancient medieval village that feels like a step back in time. The scenery is breathtaking and the village’s urban fabric is exceptional. Its residents take loving care of the place. The room in the house was spacious, as was the bathroom. Everything was charming and clean, and the owner was very friendly.

The apartment is spotless, modern and comfortable, with every convenience, and the views from the windows round it out nicely. Ilario always makes our stays pleasant. He’s an exceptional host and also owns Ristorante Del Sonno in Bagni di Lucca, where you can enjoy excellent food.

Getting there means navigating a somewhat narrow road with little room to maneuver, but it was manageable. The owners were very kind and ready to help with whatever we needed. The room was spotless, cute and typical of the area, with a rustic look and nice decor.
