Agriturismo Montecorboli

Matilde is a big part of what makes Montecorboli feel so special. She took over this season and was friendly, helpful, and a great cook, which made our stay even better. We stayed in a room with a terrace and kitchen, stocked with what we needed to cook. If you’re short on something like oil, Matilde can help. Her breakfasts were really good, made with fresh seasonal ingredients. You can also arrange dinner in advance. There’s no fixed menu, so it’s best to discuss any dietary choices with Matilde. The farm sits on top of a hill with a panoramic view of the whole area. We loved taking short walks around it and relaxing in the gardens, which have comfortable chairs and open space for children. The landscape is hard to put into words. Being out in nature means there may be little bugs or flies, and if you’re lucky, fireflies at night. Google Maps made it easy to reach. The only dirt stretch is 700 meters, with room for just one car to pass, but that wasn’t a problem for us despite driving in and out often. Nearby towns and supermarkets are close, too.

My partner and I stayed for almost two weeks last January and fell in love with the place, including Nina! The room was beautiful, the property gorgeous, and breakfast delicious. Martina and Vanessa were wonderful hosts, always ready to help with questions and sharing useful dinner tips for the area. Vanessa’s food was lovely. They make their own wine and olive oil, and the wine was delicious. We ate dinner at the Agriturismo twice and both meals were great. I’d fully recommend it if you want a real Toscana experience, and we’d definitely go back.

Martina was a fun, wonderful host who knew all about the area and had a little book of places to see and try. Vanessa is a remarkable cook and pastry chef, and her morning cakes were unforgettable. The apartments were cozy and had everything we needed. We had a perfect week in a beautiful setting, with hospitality that deserves five stars. Highly recommend.

We spent four days here and wished we could’ve stayed longer. The food, views, and setting were all amazing, but it was the people who stood out most. It feels like a real Agriturismo in the heart of the Chianti area. One of the best places I’ve stayed, and we’ll definitely return.
