The prices were really good, and the food tasted quite different from what I’d tried in tourist spots and other villages. My family and our friends’ family both loved the meals. The staff were so friendly and helpful even though we couldn’t understand the language. I wish I’d stayed closer during the holiday so I could have tried more dishes.

We’d been on the road from Boissano, stopping at Balestrino, Castelvecchio di Rocca Barbena, and Colle dello Scravaion, and planned to see Bardineto’s village. Instead, the Locanda drew us in. Debora cooked wonderfully, and Fabrizio kept us entertained with generous helpings of stories. It turned into a lovely adventure beyond the food. There are a thousand reasons to stop here.

After one night here, I’d say it’s a great base for mountain walks, while Loano’s beaches are only a 20-minute drive away. We ate really well in the restaurant, especially the spectacular saffron risotto with vegetables. The hosts were welcoming and friendly, and the food was authentic home cooking in a family setting.

We decided at the last minute to stay at Locanda da Teresa, right in the center of Bardineto (SV). It has both rooms and a restaurant, and the dining room felt cozy and homey from what we saw, even though it isn’t very big. The service was simple and welcoming, like visiting a friend. The food was good and generous. A nice option if you’re passing through or staying in the hills near Calizzano Bardineto, with Borghetto Santo Spirito/Toirano and the sea not far off. We’ll be back for sure! 😘
