I Sette Colli B&B

The location is central and convenient for the metro, and the owner was friendly and kind. Pets were welcome, too. But we were told just 10 minutes beforehand that the parking space, which was meant to be included, wasn't available because of construction. That should have been communicated earlier. We also got a sofa bed instead of a proper double bed. The room is part of the owner's apartment and sits off the shared hallway, separated from the other apartment by a single door. The bathroom described as “private” is also in that hallway, outside the room. With the walls, balcony and hallway all bordering the owner's apartment, there wasn't any privacy. It felt more like renting a room than staying at a B&B. The worst moment came when I was in the bathroom. Apparently the owner hadn't realized we'd come back and had let two other guests use it. It was supposed to be for our private use and had our things and linens in it, which could have been taken or used by someone else. We'd agreed at checkout that we could leave whenever we wanted and that he'd make breakfast when he heard us wake up, since privacy was already so limited. Instead, he knocked at 9:30 and woke us, saying he'd leave breakfast outside the door. An hour later, the coffee and milk were cold, and breakfast was meager and felt like an afterthought, with almost no choice: plum cake and toast with only cherry jam. We were told to smoke only on the balcony, yet when we returned the shared hallway smelled strongly of smoke. For couples, this isn't a romantic weekend.
