Getting there was a real concern: the roads are steep, extremely narrow, full of curves and ramps, and have potholes. Every second on them felt like a risk to our lives. The place gets described as a quarter of an hour from the sea, and technically I agree, but it felt like an hour. Please research the route carefully. Highly not recommended, run away. Inside, bugs were already on the couch when we opened the front door, mostly bedbugs and moths. The master bedroom had no pillowcase or sheet. We remade the beds ourselves, which in itself isn't a problem, but leaving a guest's bed unmade is a matter of education. The sheet was dirty, so we turned that part toward the foot of the bed and slept with our feet on it. Then there was no privacy. Starting two hours after we arrived, the landlady called us at least twice a day, from check-in through the final day. I work in 4-star hotels and understand this is a different market, but the same basic rule applies: when guests pay, privacy is mandatory, and they'll call if they need you. She phoned us at least ten times, rang the bell five or six times, and knocked three or four times. Even in the last two days, she wanted us to go with her to take out our trash. Who asked? She just knocked on the door. A crazy situation.

Giusy gave us some invaluable tips for a seafood dinner on Saturday night, and Pinolo Barz8 TOP!!! Thanks again for being so welcoming, and best of luck with everything and your business. We had a lovely two-night stay in the three-room apartment she rented us. It had all the basics for cooking and breakfast, plus a coffee machine, hairdryer, pots and pans, utensils, and ventilation in the windowless bathroom. The place is bright, and the terrace is lovely for watching the early morning sunrise. The bell tower does chime, as other reviews mention, but even half asleep we could barely hear it, and it actually felt pleasant. It reminded me of being home in my little village in Puglia.

Giusy was welcoming and happy to answer our questions. The apartment was clean and had what we needed for sleeping and cooking. Very good value for money, and highly recommended.

A nice, secluded spot, though it gets quite warm in the evening and there's no air conditioning. Opening the kitchen and bedroom windows helps. Bring earplugs: the church next door rings its bells loudly every hour, and if that doesn't wake you, hunting dogs bark through the night and morning.

The apartment is basic and a bit far from the sea, though the panoramic view is stunning. We had to make our own bed, and there wasn't even a tea towel. The owner didn't offer any help.
