Hotel Capri

We liked being a little outside Bardolino’s centre. It’s about a lovely ten-minute walk along the lake to town, and the hotel is well placed for both. The pool area is well kept and peaceful, a nice spot to unwind for the afternoon or spend the whole day before dinner. Breakfast had a good choice, and there’s a supermarket across the road for essentials. The welcome from staff was warm and attentive. One small thing we especially appreciated was having the same waitress each morning, who remembered our usual drinks. Those little touches are why we’d come back. We’ve just returned from a great holiday here.

We’ve just come back to the UK after seven days here, and the rooms were spotless, modern and just right. The bathroom had beautiful Italian marble-style tiles. Breakfast was good, with fresh salmon and prawns on offer, which felt like a treat. Wi-Fi was excellent and free, and there’s a EuroSpar across the road for anything you need. I couldn’t fault the hotel or staff. The owner spends a lot of time around reception and the dining area, and I’d have appreciated a smile and a chat with guests, as I’m sure others would too. Looking forward to coming back in 2025.

The pool is a bonus, and I especially liked the no-reserving-sunbeds policy. The hotel is in a great spot, just a minute’s walk from the lake and restaurants. The staff were lovely and spoke excellent English. I only wish my Italian were better.

We’d definitely return and recommend it to friends. The hotel is really clean, the breakfasts are great, and the friendly staff are helpful. Its location is handy for the resort centre, ferry terminal, and Eurostar across the road for supplies. A big thanks to Teresa, our lovely cleaner, who was always smiling 😊
