Breakfast was wonderful, with good tea and coffee, scrambled and boiled eggs, bacon, fresh bread, fruit, yoghurt and cakes. The staff are friendly, very polite and helpful, and speak excellent English. I'd come back. The pool out front has plenty of comfortable loungers, some morning shade, then lots of sun in the afternoon. It's an old school hotel on a busy road. We were in the second block and the noise wasn't an issue. We didn't have a balcony, but I didn't mind. The bed was very comfortable and the shower powerful and easy to use. The room is basic in places, very clean, with lots of dark furniture typical of the area. Wi-Fi was pretty good, just one brief outage. The TV only gets Sky News, which suited me since I only watch the news to keep up. There was just one socket, in the bathroom, which isn't ideal. A couple more in the main room would help. A fridge, even for an extra charge, would be useful in the heat, and a kettle would be a godsend.

A peaceful hotel, close to what you need, including the beach and several restaurants. I spent a lovely week here. The pool was nice, breakfast was good and the staff were friendly.

As a senior travelling on my own, I felt welcome throughout my lovely week at this friendly family run hotel. The port and main town are only a few minutes away on foot, with a good range of restaurants to pick from. Breakfast has plenty of choice, though I'm not sure the coffee machine makes the best cappuccino. I hope to come back another year.

For a 3 star, this is a great hotel, with a brilliant room and breakfast for the price. The staff are always pleased to see you and happy to help. You're only a few yards from the lakeside. The pool is cold, but feels great on a hot day.
