The six of us had a really personal, fun evening at Rita’s cooking class in Barga about a week ago. We made different dishes and types of pasta, and it was interesting and enjoyable to prepare everything. It all tasted delicious. Rita welcomed us warmly, and we got aprons to keep as souvenirs. Her English is fluent, with a charming Glasgow accent, and her explanations were easy to follow. There was delicious wine throughout the class, too. After cooking, we sat together at a long table, almost like a big family dinner. Then Alex, Rita’s friend, surprised us with a few songs. Many thanks to Rita for her hospitality and to Alex for the music. We’d happily recommend the class! Cheers, Ana & Jens

Rita is a friendly, knowledgeable host who’ll happily show you around the Tuscan countryside, whether you’re going wine tasting, shopping, or visiting medieval towns. The scenery is breathtaking, and the setting is beautiful. The rooms are comfortable and have everything you need. With great food and plenty of glasses of wine, it’s a lovely place to spend a week and get a real taste and feel for Italy and Italian cooking. I can’t recommend Le Mezzaluna enough, and I’ll definitely be back.

We had a fabulous week at Mezzaluna, learning to make authentic Italian dishes with Rita on the culinary retreat and exploring the area. My partner and I absolutely loved it.

I spent a wonderful week with Rita and the staff, learning a lot about Italian cooking and enjoying the great food. We met a fun group, went on some interesting excursions, and tasted wines at local wineries.

I had the best time on my week-long culinary trip. Rita and Alex are such warm hosts and made me feel at home, with everything taken care of. Rita put out delicious meals, and Alex kept topping up our Vino. Thanks for all the memories and for showing me around Tuscany :)
