Apartments Bari Central

A comfortable big bed and a clean room, though the place is pretty old. It’s close to the old town, so the location is good.

We were there for less than five minutes. The two of us had beds reserved through an organization, but the place looked subpar and the cleanliness seemed completely precarious, so we left the keys on the table and paid for another hotel ourselves. The keys had been handed to us by a non-EU employee who spoke barely two or three words of Italian. My room was upstairs, and getting to it meant climbing a vertical iron ladder. A devastating experience.

The location is the clear plus, close to everything, and we managed despite the poor conditions because of that. The shower was in terrible shape. The owner came by to inspect the apartment, which I didn’t really understand. Nothing had been cleaned, but one bed was made and two towels were left for five people, as if to hide that we’d been away.

It’s dirty and noisy, and there’s no way to make a fantastic coffee. At least there’s an automatic coffee machine. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
