Best Western Executive Business Hotel

Maybe this place was sensational in Bari back in the 80s, but now it feels very dated. I was here for a business trip and it didn’t feel suited to business at all. The staff attitude could use some work, and breakfast was extremely basic, without even a good Italian coffee. I’d only choose it if I were stuck.

Breakfast was good, mostly sweet choices with a few savory things as well. The hotel is about a five-minute walk from the city center, and everything was clean. My room was quite big for Italy.

The kindness of the staff made the stay feel like a real welcome to the south. They were so helpful, it was heartwarming. The hotel is right in the city center, with plenty of places to find food nearby. My room was big and the bed was comfortable.

We stayed three nights, and that was far too long. The bathroom smell was awful, the bed shifted when two people leaned on it, and the hotel feels very old and shabby. It may be well located, but you can surely find much better places in the area. I wouldn’t recommend it. Our room was cold because the heat was turned off every morning. Staff were very noisy too; from the first floor we could hear them shouting. The room cleaning was terrible: the towels and sheets weren’t changed, and the same cleaning woman also handled breakfast. Breakfast itself was awful, with only two kinds of salami and cheese and three croissants, no variety. Hot water came from a 5-liter boiler. Once it ran out, we had to wait an hour for it to heat again. There’s no spa, fitness room, or restaurant.
