Il Bed And Breakfast Fly

We really appreciated the comfortable atmosphere and the great service. Our connecting flight was missed, and finding somewhere to stay late at night was difficult, but they welcomed us and the children here. It’s five minutes from the airport by taxi. Thank you so much.

We picked this place because we were landing very late and it was near the airport. On arrival, though, the photos online didn’t match what we found. The room wasn’t clean or inviting, the grounds were dirty, the garden was dead and dusty, the pool was empty, and rubbish was scattered around the property. The Wi-Fi details in the room didn’t work anymore. The owner had to take us to the office to scan the business password. Breakfast was stale, dry biscuits and old, shriveled pastries. The main gate was electronically shut, and the owner had to open it. We had to phone them to get access, as they weren’t usually in the office.

The rooms were spacious and clean, and we appreciated the staff being flexible when we arrived before the 3pm check-in time without realizing it. FLY is only 2 minutes from Bari airport, has a resident manager, and offers a convenient transport service to the terminal for 15 euros. There are drawbacks. Wi-Fi was sporadic and unreliable, and there’s nowhere to eat within walking distance, so you need a car or have to keep your rental car during your stay. You also need to call the manager each time you want to enter or leave the gated compound. We had a couple of frustrations too. Nobody came for the 8 am breakfast we’d booked, so we ate at the airport. The shuttle driver had no change, turning our 15 euro ride into a 20 euro one. All things considered, it’d be very hard for us to justify booking here again.

The host was warm and friendly, and the stay at Fly B&B was really nice. It’s close to the airport, just about a 3-minute taxi ride. Thanks for having us, I’d definitely recommend staying here.
