Villa Santa Elena

The area is lovely, with especially fresh, clean air, and we had a jacuzzi in our room. We were heading to North Italy and stayed at Vicenzos place, but liked it enough that we’re thinking of coming back for a few days. Vicenzo is an amazing host who really tries to help with everything. Arriving very late was no problem, and he even called a pizza place so we could get dinner just before they closed. You can see how much effort he’s put into making the place cozy, right down to the details. There’s also a nearby pizzeria we highly recommend, and you can get a discount there.

The owner's exceptional kindness was the best part of our stay. We were passing through after, unfortunately, returning from Sicily. The villa is close to the highway exit, but not right beside it. We arrived late at night to a very poorly lit driveway and had to dodge dog poop. It was dim everywhere, even in the lobby, where the owner had trouble registering us on the computer. The stairs up to the room were strewn with rocks, silicone, and screws, with jackets hanging from the ceiling. The whole place felt more "mystical" than anything else. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT FOR FAMILIES! We're a young couple, and had a terrible experience. It's a shame, given how kind the owner was, but if you only want to accommodate a small group of guests, you should just say so.

After our camper broke down, we stopped at the Fiat in Sala Consilina and found this B&B run by Mr. Enzo. He welcomed us kindly even though we were in a difficult spot and had two medium-sized dogs with us. We had a wonderful time. Thank you so much, Mr. Enzo, you're truly warm-hearted! If we could give ten stars, we’d give them all. Thank you, thank you.
