Avoid booking this property through booking dot com. The manager agreed to a late arrival after my flight, but the keysafe inside wouldn't work when I got there at 1:45 a.m. on a cold night. I tried everything and got no reply from the owner or manager, so after a long journey I was left walking around all night. The entry system uses a keysafe, which I now understand is illegal in Italy. At 6:30 a.m., booking emailed to say the property had cancelled my booking and that a refund would follow. I never heard directly from the owner or manager. The way guests were treated was appalling and felt unsafe.

I agree with the negative reviews. With remote check-in, the box codes don't open the door, and that leaves you unable to get in. There's no fix, so you have to find somewhere else or risk sleeping on a bench in the gardens. Even one star feels too generous.

Bari's old town is a great location, but the apartment had a serious damp problem. My clothes started smelling musty, and keeping the dehumidifier running didn't fix it.

A basic room, but it had all the comforts I needed and was in a great location.
