Our host Magda was friendly enough, but as parents we often felt patronised and intimidated. She repeatedly told us what was good or bad for our “babies,” even though our daughters were 8 and 6 at the time. When they swam in the pool, she kept telling us what to do and where to go, despite both girls being able to swim and us never leaving them unattended. We got the feeling she wanted us out of the way. Her manner with guests who didn’t have children seemed completely different. We booked this villa because we thought the beaches were within walking distance, but they were concrete beaches and totally unsuitable for children. We ended up exploring farther afield because we felt uncomfortable staying in. That worked out well, since there are lovely beaches towards Monopoli, and we wished we’d stayed there from the start. We wouldn’t recommend this accommodation for families. It’s too expensive for what it is, and felt more like staying with relatives than paying for accommodation.

Parking was accessible, and buses to Bari center came frequently. The host was amazing, so welcoming and always going out of her way to make sure guests were well looked after. I’d give 10 ⭐ if I could. Highly recommended!

The homemade apple strudel at breakfast was awesome, and the host was great. The only downside is the location, about 7 km from Bari Old Town.

We stayed three pleasant nights at this lovely property and will definitely be back. The homemade focaccia barese was delicious, and such a welcoming gesture. The location is handy, about a 10-minute drive from Bari center. The owner was attentive and always available, though sometimes a little apprehensive, clearly with the best intentions. The villa was peaceful and well maintained, and the pool was beautiful in its relaxing setting. We did miss being able to use the poolside loungers, which weren’t available as they appeared in the photos. A few small things could be improved, but we had a pleasant stay and were warmly welcomed.
