Mare Versus Luxury Suites

The room was lovely, and being close to il duomo di Barletta and the historic centre made the location ideal. It sits above a bar, though, so you may hear some noise from outside. Breakfast could be better: it was just a few packaged cookies. You can pick up fresh croissants or fruit somewhere else.

Absolutely top-notch.

The view was top notch, but there were several cleanliness issues, and the room felt tiny for a luxury suite. There were no bathrobes, hairnets, or slippers. I love my country and like promoting my region, but I paid a lot for this stay and even the details matter. Breakfast was a nightmare. I can't even describe how incompetent the people serving guests seemed. I had to make my own cappuccino and coffee, and deal with the brioche myself? The outdoor pool offered no privacy, with neighboring buildings right there as if they were balcony neighbors. We had carefully chosen this suite to unwind, but key details had been left out of the communication. It looks over two nightclubs that stayed open until 3 a.m. at the end of March. Between the music and crowds, we couldn't sleep, like it was a day in August.

The cathedral and Barletta Castle looked breathtaking from the Stella Suites. Anna Maria welcomed us warmly and was kind from the start. There are plenty of comforts here, and I'd recommend staying if you're looking for a break from everyday routine.
