Hotel Al Campanile - Luxury Suites & Apartments

The room made a big difference for us. Our first one, room 1 with orange decor, was downstairs and not very nice, so we asked to move and room 305 was great. Check the photos carefully when picking a room. One small thing: the plastic mattress cover made the bed feel hot and like sleeping on plastic, so I’d take it off. The location is excellent, just a couple of minutes’ walk from the lake, and the rooftop terrace has a fantastic view.

We spent a week here as a family of three in a suite with a mezzanine. The room was lovely, with a terrace and lake view, and breakfast had plenty of buffet choices in a bright, airy conservatory-style room. The hotel is in a quiet spot, a short walk from the lakefront, boats, buses, shops and restaurants. Staff were welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived. We booked directly, and the hotel was great with emails and calls and arranged private airport transfers. Tatiana, the Manager, spoke fluent English and was especially welcoming and helpful. We’d happily recommend staying here.

The hotel itself was very nice and the staff were nice too. Everything seemed fine until we got stuck in awful traffic: check-in ended at 19:00, and arriving two hours later meant a €50 charge. That was sad. It also feels strange for tourists that check-out is at 10:00 and the hotel closes at 19:00, leaving only a nine-hour day. We were also told we couldn’t keep drinks in the fridge. I left a 6 out of 10 on booking.com, but got one star on my employer’s page, which was odd. Next time I’ll get there before 19:00 and leave five stars.

The rooms are modern and beautiful, and the shower was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was wonderful. There’s a lovely view from the outdoor bar on the top floor. Internet was intermittent and not very good. Parking costs $14 a day and laundry is $15.
