8/10
It’s good value in central Genova, with clean rooms and a nice bathroom. The station is two minutes away, the hotel is by a major road, and the main sights are all walkable. I’d recommend it for a short visit. At checkout, though, some staff seemed bothered by my presence and were disrespectful. It’s a shame, because a little more professionalism could have made the hotel perfect.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and it’s a cheap stay near the train station, so it’s good value. But the A/C in our room dripped water onto the floor, the bathroom door wouldn’t close fully, and the room was so tiny that opening a suitcase made it nearly impossible to get out. I also had to battle a cockroach on the first night. It didn’t get away from my stomp.

The underground secure parking was good, at the standard rate of €20 a day. Breakfast was lovely, and there was loads of it. The hotel itself wasn’t the cleanest or most up to date. Wi-Fi worked fine in the foyer, but not at all in the room.

We had a great breakfast, and the staff were friendly and ready to help. It’s also an easy walk to the train and bus station, where the Vola airport shuttle drops off, and to the cruise terminal. A perfect place to stay in Genoa.

The location beside the train station was the one real plus. Breakfast was okay, but the bathroom had mildew and the shower swung between scalding and freezing. The furniture felt old, and nothing seemed up to date. Very poor value for the price.
