The owner was kind and very helpful, and breakfast had lots to choose from, both sweet and savory. We stayed over the May Day long weekend and had a great time. It’s also close to Stresa and to the ferry for visiting the islands.

The owner was very friendly and always ready with useful tips for exploring the area. Breakfast was generous, with homemade jam she made herself. It’s a shame the Covid restrictions meant she couldn’t serve the cakes she usually makes. The quiet B&B is an easy walk from Baveno’s center, and the room and bathroom were spacious, bright, and spotless. Avoid bringing luggage that’s too heavy or bulky, since you’ll need to carry it up the stairs. There’s no private parking, but during our weekday stay we had no trouble finding a space along the road or by the little dock right opposite.

The breakfast was the best part, lovingly put together with a selection like you’d find in a top hotel. The location is ideal, on the edge of Baveno, and a five-minute stroll along the harbor gets you to the center. The room was huge, with an even bigger bathroom. Everything was old but beautifully renovated. The hostess was lovely, though she only speaks Italian. Her husband kept two spaces in the nearby parking lot for us and the guests in the other room all day with his car, so we could pull in and park for free. We’ll definitely be back!

The rooms were wonderful, and the breakfast was superb. It felt rustic and charming, and someone was already waiting in the public parking lot when we arrived to show us where to park. I can’t say much more than that it was fantastic and highly recommended. The only downside was the speeding cars. The hotel can’t do anything about that, of course, but the rooms are well insulated, so you barely hear the traffic inside.
